Turkish Presidency to Israeli Foreign Minister: We Can’t Learn Anything from Killers Like You

This came in a post on Alton’s account on the “X” platform on Friday, in response to a post by Katz targeting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“Neither our president nor our country can learn anything from murderers like you, genocidaires, whose hands are stained with blood,” Altun said, adding, “One day you will be held accountable for the massacres you committed against our Palestinian brothers and the shameful genocide.”

The head of the Turkish presidency’s communications department stressed that “the more the murderous Israeli officials utter the name of the Turkish president, the more we will continue to support him and stand firmly behind him.”

In the same context, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan considered that “it is a complete pathology that Israel Katz constantly speaks with his own delusions about our country and our president instead of being the Minister of Foreign Affairs.”

He added, in a post on the “X” platform: “This person, whose presence in the government is an obsession with slander and lies, is a monument to the arrogance and insolence of the Netanyahu government, which is committing genocide.”

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz criticized Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after the Turkish embassy in Tel Aviv lowered its flag on Friday in mourning for the head of the political bureau of the Palestinian factions movement, Ismail Haniyeh.

Katz wrote on his account on the “X” platform: “Erdogan is turning Turkey into a dictatorship simply because of his support for the Palestinian factions’ movement, against the position of the entire free world.”

The Israeli Foreign Minister also denounced Turkey’s blocking of the social network Instagram, saying, “Erdogan is taking the Turkish state with its scientific, cultural, technological and economic capabilities, and destroying it, and eroding the legacy of Ataturk, who built a progressive and prosperous Turkey.”

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared Friday a day of mourning for Haniyeh’s assassination, with flags lowered to half-mast at Turkish diplomatic missions around the world and at government institutions.
