Rodrigo Huescas establishes himself in European football

Mexican Rodrigo Huescas started for the second consecutive time with Copenhagen FC, this time in the Conference League, in the Danish team’s 3-0 victory over Brunos Magpies, from Gibraltar.

Huescas played the full 90 minutes, adding his second good performance with the Danish team, after the turbulent moment he experienced with his departure from Cruz Azul to the Old Continent.

The opposing team also included another Mexican, Francisco Zúñiga, who was trained in the youth teams of Pachuca and is now playing for Gibraltar. The defender also played the full 90 minutes.

Huescas has earned the trust of the Copenhagen FC board and its technical director, Jacob Neestrup.

The Danish club are hoping to welcome the return leg against Brunos Magpies next week, with the possibility of the former cement player seeing action from the start again.

Arriving and standing out

After his debut last Monday, where Huescas left a very good impression, he was included in the starting eleven for the first day of the Danish Super League.

Huescas started the presentation with his new club and even contributed with an assist as FC Copenhagen beat Lyngby 2-0 at the Lyngby Stadium.

He started the match as a right back and it took him just seven minutes to provide his first pass for the goal scored by Orri Óskarsson, which gave his team a 1-0 lead.— ESPN and EL UNIVERSAL
