The fourth day of the Karachi Test, New Zealand’s batting continues against Pakistan

New Zealand scored 52 runs for the loss of one wicket in the second innings of the second Test match of the series against Pakistan, while the Kiwis have a lead of 93 runs against the national team.

The third day

The national team restarted the innings at 154 for the loss of 3 wickets, but after adding 29 runs, opener Imamul Haq lost his wicket early. He played an innings of 83 runs. Second day

Earlier, New Zealand started the rest of their innings at 309 for 6 but Ash Sodhi was bowled by Naseem Shah for 11 runs. Tom Blundell was dismissed for 51 runs and skipper Tim Southee was dismissed for 10 runs.

After the lunch break, Ijaz Patel was out for 35 runs while Matt Henry remained not out for 68 runs.

On behalf of the Kiwi team, opener Dion Conway scored 122, Tom Latham scored 71, Tom Blundell scored 51 and Matt Henry scored 68 runs. A partnership of 104 runs was established between the last pair of the visiting team.

The leg-spinner of the national team hunted 4 players while Naseem Shah and Agha Salman dismissed three players each. Mir Hamza and Hasan Ali failed to take any wickets.

First day

In the second session, opener Dion Conway completed a century, but after the tea break, Dion Conway played an innings of 122 runs and was caught by Salman Agha. Kane Williamson scored 36 runs and was caught behind the wicket by Naseem Shah, while Daryl Mitchell scored 3 runs and was bowled by Salman Agha.

Henry Nicholls made 26 runs and Michael Bracewell returned to the pavilion for zero. At the end of the first day’s play, Tom Blundell is on 30 and Ash Sodhi is on the wicket for 11 runs.

In the first session, the openers of the Kiwi team scored 119 runs, but after the lunch break, Tom Latham scored 71 runs and got out lbw off the ball of Naseem Shah.

Before the lunch break, Pakistan tested all five of their bowlers but none of the bowlers managed to get a wicket.

The first Test match of the series between the two teams was drawn, the series is part of the ICC World Test Championship. Spectators are free to watch the second Test at the National Stadium.
