While enjoying a vacation in Spain, the 36-year-old actor was urgently hospitalized on Saturday, August 3rd. Two employees from the villa where he was staying found him semi-conscious in the pool of his villa before calling for help.
“Zac was taken to the hospital as a precaution,” a source told TMZ on Saturday, August 3rd. Zac Efron reportedly suffered a “swimming accident” during his vacation at a villa in Ibiza, Spain. According to the tabloid, the High School Musical star was rescued by two employees who found him semi-conscious, carrying him out of the water before calling for emergency services. For now, no information has been released regarding what caused the accident. It is also unclear whether he was at risk of drowning. The 36-year-old actor was finally able to leave the facility on Saturday evening.
Recently, the actor has appeared in several projects, including The Iron Claw (with Jeremy Allen White), Ricky Stanicky, and A Family Affair with Nicole Kidman and Joey King. On July 26, just before heading off for his vacation in Spain, he made a stop in Paris, enjoying the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games.
