Western robbers: PNC seeks gang that steals rural savings banks
The MP and the PNC are carrying out raids in different parts of the country in search of alleged criminals involved in the theft of rural banks.

On the morning of this Friday, August 2, the Public ministry (MP) reported that the Immediate Reaction Unit in coordination with the National Civil Police (PNC) is carrying out raids in order to search for clues for the investigation against a criminal structure that is dedicated to robo of rural banks.
The investigative body explained that they are carrying out seven search, inspection, registration and seizure of evidence proceedings in properties located in the departments of Guatemala, Retalhuleu, Suchitepequez y Jutiapa.
This “with the objective of strengthening research related to the criminal organization “West Robbers”dedicated to the aggravated robbery of rural banks,” said the MP.

Separately, the Chimaltenango District Attorney’s Office, with the support of the PNC, is carrying out two search, inspection, recording and seizure of evidence operations in the municipality of Patzicía, for a case of drug distribution.
