According to Solórzano, there are centers where MUD witnesses have not been allowed to enter

The representative of the Democratic Unity Roundtable (MUD), which supports the candidacy of Edmundo González, Delsa Solórzano, indicated during the morning of July 28 that some of her witnesses They have not been allowed to enter the voting centers to carry out their role.

“That percentage is decreasing, and attention is being paid, but at this time there are some centers where our witnesses are not allowed to enter. Legally, they can and should be in their voting center.”he said, although he did not specify the number of related incidents.

He also said that there are electoral centers where military personnel request voters’ ID cards. “There is a horseshoe at the voting center that must be fully complied with. The ID card is only given to the table member, there is no step for a prior check. The members of the Plan República are only there to guard the voting center. They are not part of the horseshoe.”he clarified.

Finally, he pointed out that in some polling stations, the members of the polling station have warned that they will not deliver the results to the witnesses. In this regard, he recalled that: “The Organic Law on Electoral Processes clearly establishes the delivery of the minutes at the end of the voting process, which contains all the results… In some voting centers they have said that only minutes will be printed for the CNE. This is impossible from a legal point of view. What is clearly established is that the candidates have the right to the minutes through the witness.”

Solórzano invited the electorate to Provide support, such as food or hydration, to witnesses and be at the centers at the end of the afternoon for citizen verification (manual audit of the vote).
