MEXICO CITY (El Universal).— Claudia Sheinbaum, virtual president-elect, said that she could receive the certificate of majority “between the first and second week of August.”
He explained that the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (TEPJF) will validate the election at the end of this month, and that the next month the voter will receive the certificate.
“It seems that they are going to qualify the election at the end of July, that would mean that the certificate would be delivered to us by the first or second week of August,” he said at a press conference.
The next president, who will assume the presidency in just over two months, indicated in a press conference that she is already working on the agenda for her first day in office.
“We are going to Congress, to (the presentation of) the presidential sash. Afterwards, we are going to receive the leaders from all over the world at the National Palace,” Claudia said.
“And then, we are going to hold a rally outside the Palace to inform about our program, about our project for the next six years,” added the next president (2024-2030).
The former head of the Government of Mexico City (2018-2023) pointed out that the rally will be held in the Zócalo of the Mexican capital, where she celebrated her campaign closing and her electoral victory on June 2.
The future president, who will be the first woman to hold the presidency in the country, indicated that she is already meeting with her team to define the general lines of her government programs.
“We are working on the National Development Plan 2024-2030, we are working on the Water Plan, the Economic Plan, the Plan of social programs, of welfare programs,” Claudia explained.
He also noted that “every day, from October 1 to December, at least,” he already has “significant progress” in what he will communicate to the Mexican people.
In addition, the future president announced that she will continue “visiting all the states of the republic from Friday to Sunday,” as she has done since last month with the outgoing president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, in what they have called a “transition tour.”

“The goal is for nurses and doctors, as well as public servants, to visit the 12 million elderly people directly in their homes,” said the country’s virtual president-elect yesterday. According to Claudia, a study will be conducted between October and December to find out “their current state of health, what medications they use, how often they go to the doctor.”
