WORLD.- A whale humpback fell on a boat on Tuesday, July 23 off the coast of Portsmouth, en New Hampshirecausing the boat to capsize.
It was later reported that the Two crew members of the fishing boat are safe after what the whale came to the surface through the bottom of the ship and overturned it.
The incident occurred on Tuesday near Odiorne Point State Park in the United States.
The Coast Guard posted on X that it had received a distress call informing it that a 23-foot (7-meter) long boat had capsized due to the appearance of a whale.
“The crew was ejected from the vessel when it capsized,” the Coast Guard said, adding that Coast Guard Station Portsmouth was alerted.

In the video shared on social networks, you can see how the cetacean emerges from the waters and falls on the back of the boat, turning it over and throwing its occupants into the sea.
“A good Samaritan pulled these two people from the water. There were no injuries,” the Coast Guard said.
The crew of the Portsmouth Station boat reported that the whale did not appear to be injured. They subsequently reported the incident to the animal emergency line mariners from the Center for Coastal Studies and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
This month there have been multiple sightings of humpback whales off the coasts of New Hampshire and Maine.
