Declaring a person to be wajib-ul-Kul is illegal, Islamic Ideological Council – Pakistan

The Council of Islamic Ideology has said on the fatwa against the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, that no individual, group or group is allowed either by Sharia or law to issue a fatwa and order to kill someone while setting up a court. Incitement, fatwas of takfir and threatening to kill any government, state or a common person are against the clear teachings of Quran and Sunnah.

In a statement issued by the Council of Islamic Ideology, it was said that it is the official duty of Al-Din and Mufti to provide religious knowledge about right and wrong ideas and to give correct Shari’a solutions to problems, however, to issue a decision about someone whether or not He has committed blasphemy or said the word blasphemy, this is the jurisdiction of the state and the government and the court. Fatwas of disbelief and the method of declaring obligatory killing are not compatible with Islamic principles.

Chairman Islamic Ideological Council said that it is unlawful to declare a person as obligatory, such emotional actions have harmed the cause of the belief of Khatm Nabubt.

In its 212th meeting held on November 27, 2018, the Islamic Ideological Council had declared that the method of issuing fatwas of disbelief and obligatory killing is not compatible with Islamic principles. Pakistan In such an Islamic state, no one can be allowed to decide the faith and religion of others according to his arbitrary interpretations and issue a fatwa regarding them as obligatory. We need to act with great care and caution in this matter.’
