BOXERS Floyd Mayweather and John Gotti III maintained their honor in the face-off session ahead of their rematch in Mexico City on August 24.
The two fighters had previously met in the ring in an exhibition fight in 2023 that turned chaotic when referee Kenny Bayless stopped the fight after the pair exchanged profanities, although
was warned at the end of the fifth round.
Kenny was forced to stop the fight entering the sixth round as both fighters continued to hurl profanities at each other, leading to a near brawl in the ring afterwards.
MMA fighting’s report via its official website, which was monitored in Jakarta, Friday, stated that both boxers are now ready to do everything again.
As reported by Betweenboth boxers showed a calm demeanor before colliding in the ring for their rematch.
Gotti is the grandson of notorious mob boss John Gotti. The 31-year-old is best known as a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter before turning to boxing where he currently has a 2-0 record as a professional.
Meanwhile, 47-year-old Mayweather is widely regarded as one of the best boxers of his generation and the greatest of all time.
With a perfect professional record of 50-0, Mayweather retired from boxing in 2017 but has since been involved in a number of exhibition fights like this, including bouts with Logan Paul and Aaron Chalmers. (Z-6)
