SIXTEEN children who were injured in a Hezbollah rocket attack on the northern Druze town of Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights on Saturday (27/7) remain in intensive care in hospital, including seven in critical condition.
“Eight injured people are at Ziv Medical Center including three in serious condition, two of whom are still sedated and ventilated. All three have abdominal injuries, chest injuries and limb fractures,” the local hospital reported, as reported by Al Jazeera on Tuesday (30/7).
While four others suffered minor injuries, most suffered shrapnel wounds. One child is in good condition.
Haifa’s Rambam Medical Center said five children remained hospitalized. Three were in serious condition, sedated and ventilated in the pediatric intensive care unit, and two were in fair condition in the pediatric surgical unit.
“All of them suffered shrapnel wounds,” he said.
There are three children in Tsafon Medical Center (Pouriya) near Tiberias. One is still in serious condition and another is in moderate condition. The third child is expected to be discharged soon.
