The Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) ensures that the celebration of the 79th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence Day at the State Palace in Jakarta will not hold a military attraction. This is because military attractions are only held in the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN).

“(Military attractions at) the IKN only,” said Secretary of the Ministry of State Secretariat Setya Utama when confirmed, Friday (2/8).

However, the State Secretariat will broadcast military attractions through videotron in Jakarta. So that invited guests who attend the Jakarta Palace can still enjoy.

The commemoration ceremony of the proclamation will be held in two locations. All former presidents will be invited to the ceremony at the IKN, East Kalimantan, while former vice presidents will be at the Merdeka Palace, Central Jakarta.

“For former presidents, we plan to invite them to the ceremony at the IKN together with the President,” said Pratikno, quoted from Antara, Thursday (1/8).

For the 79th Anniversary ceremony at the IKN, it will be led by President Jokowi. President-elect Prabowo Subianto will also be present to accompany him.

Meanwhile, Indonesian Vice President Ma’ruf Amin will attend the ceremony at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. Then, Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka will also accompany Ma’ruf at the Jakarta Palace. (P-5)
