His Majesty the King presides over the oath-taking ceremony for the newly graduated officers.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, may God assist Him, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, chaired, on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at the Mechouar Square of the Royal Palace in Tetouan, the oath-taking ceremony of officers graduating from various military and paramilitary schools and institutes, as well as non-commissioned officers who were promoted to the rank of officer.

On this occasion, His Majesty the King graciously named this group after the one covered by God’s forgiveness and satisfaction, “Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Latifa.”

After saluting the flag to the tunes of the national anthem, His Majesty the King delivered the following lofty speech:
Praise be to God, and may prayers and peace be upon our Master, the Messenger of God, his family and his companions.
Officers,

We are pleased to congratulate you on your graduation from various military, security and territorial schools and institutes.

We are pleased to preside today over the oath-taking ceremony before His Majesty, in his capacity as Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.

We have decided to name your group after our mother, may God have mercy on her soul, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Latifa, may God have mercy on her. This is in appreciation of the Moroccan mother and her role in raising generations on good morals and on our authentic spiritual and national values.

Considering the modern training and high-level qualification we have provided you, we are confident that you will carry out your national duty with the competence, ability, national zeal, and adherence to the nation’s sanctities that are known in our armed and security forces.

May God protect you, be up to the level of what we expect from you in terms of integrity, discipline, loyalty and devotion to your eternal slogan: God, the Nation, the King.

Peace be upon you and the mercy of God be upon you “.

After taking the oath, His Majesty, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, saluted the flag of the Royal Armed Forces, before reviewing the various groups of officers that took the oath.

The officers participating in the oath-taking ceremony belong to the graduating classes of 2024 from military and paramilitary schools and institutes, as well as the non-commissioned officer classes who were promoted to the rank of officer during 2023, as well as the officers who were not able to take the oath in previous years.

The regiment that took the oath consists of officers who graduated from higher military schools.

It is about:

– Royal Military Academy,

– Royal Air School,

– Royal Naval School,

– Royal School of Military Medical Services,

These categories include reserve officers who are graduates of the following paramilitary higher schools:

-Mohammadiyah School of Engineers;

-Royal Institute of Territorial Administration;

-Royal Police Institute;

-National School of Forestry Engineers;

-Customs Training School;

– National School of Civil Protection.

This regiment also includes officers of the Special Corps, non-commissioned officers who have been promoted to the rank of officer, and officers who were not able to take the oath in previous years, belonging to the Royal Armed Forces, the Royal Gendarmerie, and the Auxiliary Forces.

On this occasion, His Majesty granted new ranks to a number of officers who were promoted for the year 2024.

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, may God assist Him, had previously received, on July 29, at the Royal Palace in Tetouan, the promotion committee for the ranks of members of the Royal Armed Forces.

The Promotion Committee, chaired by the Lieutenant General, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Zone, presented to His Majesty the King the conclusions and results of its work related to the promotion of officers and non-officers.

The Promotion Committee also expressed to His Majesty, on behalf of the Royal Armed Forces, its deep appreciation and great pride for the royal patronage, guidance and instructions that inspired and guided the work of this Promotion Committee throughout all its stages.

The committee’s conclusions and the promotions schedule were approved by His Majesty the King, who gave his high instructions to convey His Majesty’s congratulations to those who were promoted, and urged all members of the Royal Armed Forces to continue to be dedicated to accomplishing their noble mission, in loyalty to the immortal slogan: “God, the Nation, the King.”

The oath-taking ceremony was attended, in particular, by the Prime Minister, the Speakers of the two Houses of Parliament, His Majesty the King’s advisors, members of the government, senior officers of the Royal Armed Forces’ High Command, military attachés at foreign embassies accredited to Rabat, and several civil and military figures.
