He commended the Saudi leadership for their unlimited support in the Kingdom’s sports sector and the Saudi Crown Prince for his continuous guidance and empowerment regarding the official FIFA World Cup 2034 bid.

According to the bid, Riyadh, Jeddah, Al Khobar, Abha and Neom will be the five cities proposed to host the tournament, with 15 stadiums, of which 11 are currently being planned.

Riyadh will have eight stadiums for World Cup matches, including the King Salman Stadium, which is scheduled to be completed in 2029. It will have a capacity of more than 92 thousand spectators and the opening and final matches of the tournament will be played in it. It will become the new home ground of the Saudi national team.

In addition, the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium in Riyadh will be a remarkable architectural masterpiece, with three tiered stands and a spectacular view of one of the Jabal al-Tuwaiq mountains.

Riyadh also includes the Shah Fahd Sports City Stadium, which has been renovated to the highest international standards. It is expected that this arena will have a capacity of 70 thousand spectators.

The Jeddah Central Development Stadium will feature an architectural design inspired by the region’s local heritage and the traditional wooden architecture of historic Al-Balad, while the coastal King Abdullah Economic City Stadium will feature a natural design inspired by the coral reefs of the Red Sea. .

The Aramco Stadium in Al Khobar will be located on the shores of the Arabian Gulf and will feature a design inspired by the sea, while the King Khalid University Stadium in Abha will be expanded to increase its capacity to more than 45,000 during the tournament. .

Similarly, the stadium to be built in Neom for the World Cup is being built at a height of 350 meters above the ground and will use completely eco-friendly energy.
