The Ministry of Domestic Trade reports that the sale of school uniforms for the 2024-2025 academic year has begun.

School uniform sales in Cuba: what you should know
The sale of school uniforms for the 2024-2025 academic year begins on August 1 in all Cuban provinces.
The approved policy establishes the sale of two school uniforms for the initial grades: preschool, fifth, seventh, tenth and first year of Technical Professional Education (ETP) and Pedagogical.
Important: the addition of other grades to the market is subject to the arrival of the fabric imported by the industry, which will be reported in due time.
There are delays in the production of bonds, therefore, sales will be controlled according to lists issued by Education.
In the case of preschool, the sale of the 2 uniforms will be carried out through a certified list; for the remaining approved grades, the first uniform will be sold through a list and for the purchase of the second, the voucher issued by Education will be presented.
Each territory will report on the organisational measures adopted for the marketing of school uniforms.
Prices of uniforms in Cuba
According to the state press, the state budget finances approximately 132 million pesos for the production of student clothing.
Thus, Resolution 405/2021 of the Ministry of Finance and Prices establishes the cost of uniforms:
Girls’ uniform:
- Blouse: 23.00 pesos
- Me: 35.00 pesos
Children’s uniform:
- Shirt: 25.00 pesos
- Shorts: 31.50 pesos
- Bermuda shorts: 41.50 pesos
The scarf will cost 3.00 pesos.
Secondary and secondary education:
- Women’s clothing: the blouse costs 31.00 pesos and the skirts, 44.50.
- Men’s clothing: shirts are sold at 31.50 pesos and pants at 61.50.
- The distinctive badge for these educational levels costs 2.00 pesos.

The Ministry of Education in Cuba (Mined) advertisement that the school year corresponding to the next academic year 2024-2025 will begin on September 2 in all educational institutions of General Education.
