Independent evaluation of the safety of the Mayan Train will be carried out

MEXICO CITY.- The Federal government launched a tender for an independent assessment of the safety of the Virtual Trendswhose route covers the states of Chiapas, Campeche, Tabasco, Yucatan y Quintana Roo.

A call for tenders was launched on Tuesday for “an assessment and a certified opinion that specific aspects of the security management process have been adequately addressed.”

It will also be assessed whether “specific requirements with respect to the system or its parts have been met.”

One of the requirements of the tender is the review of the organization and planning of security in the testing processes of the specialty systems or subsystems that are part of the Railway System of sections 1 to 5 of the Mayan Train.

It should also include an evaluation of the verification and validation already carried out.

“To do this, an evaluation of the security process undertaken for the Specialty Systems that will comprise Sections 1 to 5 must be carried out,” the statement said.

They also request a report on the management of specific aspects of the safety process at the interfaces of risk assessment systems, mitigation means and civil works that relate to specialty systems.

In addition, participating companies were asked to submit their financial proposals in accordance with the requirements.

The decision of the company that will be awarded the contract will be announced on July 29.
