A 47-year-old man, who was charged with domestic threat, was found guilty at the expense of his ex-girlfriend, whom he was monitoring in violation of the restrictive measures imposed on him.
According to information, the accused constantly followed his ex-partner after their separation. After imposing restrictive measures on him the first time he became aware of his actions, the 47-year-old violated for the second time the terms of the court order, which prohibited him from approaching the girl at a distance of less than 800 meters. In particular, she allegedly saw him on the afternoon of Monday, July 29 watching her with his car and reported him to the police.
The 47-year-old sat at noon on Wednesday (31/7) at the bench of the Autoforous Single-member Misdemeanor Court of Lamia, in order to apologize for the above acts.
As she testified, the 47-year-old is constantly watching her and constantly finds him in front of her, which causes her fear.
The Court found the defendant guilty of the acts of domestic intimidation and violation of a court order and sentenced him to a total prison term of 17 months and to serve part of the sentence, i.e. 60 days. However, he gave suspensive force to his appeal – despite the prosecutor’s proposal to the contrary – with the restrictive condition of appearing at the AT of his residence, on the 1st week of each month.
