Lahore Khurram Ashfaq, who belongs to is a senior officer of a private bank, but this polluted climate was a big problem for him and his family as well, to deal with it, a few days ago he took a test at home. Made an air purifier.

Pakistan’s air quality index has been abysmal for some time now and some of the country’s major cities are high on the list of the world’s most polluted cities.

Considering this polluted climate, many people buy expensive air purifiers or air filters from the market.

Khurram Ashfaq while talking to Independent Urdu said that he completed this air purifier in 36 hours by working at different times while it cost only six and a half thousand rupees and anyone can easily make it at home. .

Khurram further explained about this air purifier: ‘I have created an air purification system based on DIY that will clean the air of any room.’

Khurram said, “If we take a big brand air purifier from the market, they are very expensive and their price starts from 30,000 rupees and goes up to 100,000 or more, and after that, their filters It has to be replaced which is a separate expense.

Khurram said about the material used to make this Pure Fire: ‘My target was to make it in a budget below Rs 10,000. So the material I used is that the main body is formed with foam board and this sheet is available in the general market and is used to make models etc.’

Khuram said that he prepared a box from this foam board, which he used the glue found in the market to connect, and even though it was connected with the glue, air did not enter the box. Or put binding tape around its joints.

According to Khurram: ‘I installed three filters in it which are available in the general market and these are the filters that are used as car cabin filters in vehicles and they work much better while I installed a HEPA filter which It is mainly used to purify or clean the air and it costs 2000 rupees.

‘I picked up a used fan from this flea market that is about seven inches in diameter. It is commonly used with computers etc. and it draws around 40 volts of power which is less power than a normal ceiling fan meaning you can run it for about the same amount as a normal fan.’

Khurram said that the function of this fan is that it is installed in such a direction that it will draw the air inside and bring it out from the upper side.

‘When it’s running, any air that goes into that box will go through the filter and it’ll hold the dust in its filter and clean air in the box that the fan will pull in and out.’

Khurram Ashfaq said that the total cost of this air purifier fire is about six and a half thousand rupees, in which the most expensive item is the fan, while three filters are worth 1600 rupees, while one HEPA filter is worth two thousand rupees.

According to Khurram, if it is not a very dusty area, these filters can be used for at least two months, but they also need to be cleaned with a blower after a few days.
