His Majesty King Mohammed VI chairs the allegiance ceremony in Tetouan to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his accession to the throne

His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, may God assist Him, accompanied by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and His Highness Prince Moulay Ahmed, chaired, on Wednesday afternoon, at the Mechouar courtyard of the Royal Palace in Tetouan, the allegiance ceremony, in commemoration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne of his glorious ancestors.

At the beginning of this ceremony, the Minister of the Interior, Mr. Abdelouafi Laftit, the governors and workers of the provinces, prefectures and regions of the Kingdom, and the governors and workers of the central administration of the Ministry of the Interior, pledged allegiance to the Commander of the Faithful, may God support and grant him victory.

After that, delegations and representatives of the various regions, prefectures and provinces of the Kingdom advanced in close ranks to renew their allegiance and loyalty to the Commander of the Faithful, may God protect him.

It concerns representatives of the following parties:

– Dakhla – Oued Eddahab (Oued Eddahab and Awsard)

– Laayoune – Saguia el Hamra (Laayoune, Boujdour, Tarfaya, Smara)

– Guelmim-Oued Noun (Guelmim, Assa-Zag, Tan-Tan, Sidi Ifni)

Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (Tangier-Asilah, M’diq-Fnideq, Tetouan, Fahs-Anjra, Larache, Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen and Ouezzane)

– Eastern region (Oujda-Angad, Nador, Driouch, Jerada, Berkane, Taourirt, Guercif and Figuig) – Fez-Meknes (Fez, Meknes, El Hajeb, Ifrane, Moulay Yacoub, Sefrou, Boulemane, Taounate and Taza)

Rabat-Sale-Kenitra (Rabat, Salé, Skhirat-Temara, Kenitra, Khemisset, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane)

– Beni Mellal-Khenifra (Beni Mellal, Azilal, Fqih Ben Salah, Khenifra and Khouribga)

– Souss-Massa (Agadir Ida Outanane, Inzegane Ait Melloul, Chtouka Ait Baha, Taroudant, Tiznit and Tata)

This ceremony, which embodies the authenticity of the Moroccan people and their adherence to the glorious Alaouite throne, concluded with the firing of five artillery shots, while the Commander of the Faithful responded to the greetings and cheers of representatives of the various regions, prefectures and provinces of the Kingdom.

This joyful ceremony, which crowns the celebrations marking the twenty-fifth anniversary of the accession of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, to the throne of his glorious ancestors, was an opportunity for representatives of the twelve regions of the Kingdom to renew their attachment to the person of His Majesty the King and to the glorious Alaouite throne, and to reaffirm once again that the bond between the throne and the people remains deeply rooted in the history of the country and constitutes always the solid foundation of the Moroccan nation and the supreme expression of its cohesion and continuity.

This ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister, the Speakers of the two Houses of Parliament, His Majesty’s advisors, members of the government, heads of constitutional bodies, senior officers of the Royal Armed Forces High Command, and a number of civil and military figures.
