FORMER General Elections Commissioner (KPU) Wahyu Setiawan (WS) was questioned by investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Jakarta, Monday, July 29, 2024. The convict in the bribery case of replacing members of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) for the 2019-2024 period was questioned in connection with the Harun Masiku (HM) case.
“It is true that witness WS was present and asked for information in the bribery case with suspect HM,” said KPK spokesperson Tessa Mahardika Sugiarto in a written statement, Monday, July 29, 2024.
The KPK has not explained the details of the examination agenda. Complete information will be delivered after the examination is completed.
Wahyu wore a black short-sleeved shirt while at the KPK. He was seen exchanging IDs at the reception.
He received a red ID. This indicates that he was being questioned as a witness in an alleged corruption case.
Previously, the KPK had questioned Wahyu in the alleged bribery case of Harun on Thursday, December 28, 2023. The KPK investigation team questioned Wahyu to investigate the whereabouts of Harun, who had been on the run for more than four years.

Wahyu’s residence in Banjarnegara, Central Java, was also searched on December 12, 2023. Wahyu is a key witness in the Harun Masiku bribery case.
He acted as a bribe recipient and has completed his criminal sentence after receiving a Parole program since October 6, 2023.
