Xiaomi’s new smartphone with artificial intelligence for photography

Chinese consumer electronics company Xiaomi on Sunday globally introduced its new 14-series smartphone and other wearable devices equipped with artificial intelligence and photography.

Xiaomi said in a statement that the new Xiaomi 14 Ultra phone, developed in partnership with German camera maker Leica, features a quad-camera configuration while its more compact version, the Xiaomi 14, has a triple-camera configuration.

These phones have large AI models integrated into various applications while a tool enables real-time voice transcribing in conferences.

Similarly, another function of these phones is for users to get AI help in searching for images in their gallery.

Technology and telecom companies are releasing new products and features ahead of the annual Mobile World Congress (MWC), which starts in Barcelona on Monday.

The hope is that artificial intelligence will lead to business growth, but many experts say that generative artificial intelligence could raise legal or ethical concerns.

According to IDC last year, Xiaomi was ranked third in the global smartphone market with a 12.5 percent share.

Apple leading with 20.1 percent share while Sam Seng It is second with 19.4 percent market share.

The company also unveiled other wearable products on Sunday, including the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro, Xiaomi Watch S3, and Xiaomi Watch 2, which the company says are suitable for sports, health and fitness activities.
