Controversial Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s parliamentary membership is in jeopardy, the election of the actress has been challenged in the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
According to Indian media, a petition has been filed challenging the selection of Kangana Ranaut in the High Court.
The petition was filed by an independent candidate from Kannur, Ram Negi.

The petitioner took the position that despite fulfilling the prescribed criteria my nomination papers were rejected otherwise I would have won the election, therefore the election of Kangana Ranaut should be cancelled.
On the petition, the Himachal Pradesh High Court issued a notice to the actress and ordered her to submit her reply by August 21.

According to Indian media, Kangana Ranaut defeated the Congress candidate in Mandi Lok Sabha seat by 74,755 votes, the actress got 537 thousand 2 votes.
