Berlin (OT) –

Criminal charges of falsification of documents and attempted procedural fraud were brought against the head of SPIEGEL, according to an affidavit submitted by SPIEGEL in the injunction proceedings against Till Lindemann.

We issue the following press release on behalf of our client Till Lindemann:

In its issue of June 10, 2023 (print and online), Der Spiegel reported on the accusations made by several women against Till Lindemann under the headlines “Twilight of the Gods” and “Sex, Power, alcohol – reports from young women in Lingxing.”

With the verdict announced on July 19, 2024, the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court confirmed the temporary injunction issued by the Hamburg Regional Court on July 14, 2023 on the core charges during the appeal process. Accordingly, Der Spiegel is still prohibited from suspecting that Till Lindemann was drugged or drugged by knockout potions or drugs at concerts by the German band Ramstein so that he could perform sexual acts on them.

During the injunction procedure, “Der Spiegel” submitted two women’s affidavits to the district court on June 28, 2023, whose names in the article were “Zoe” and “Sophie W.”. has been named. One thing about “Zoe’s” affidavit is that it begins on the penultimate page and has a sentence that is not continued on the next page. Only the witness’s signature was found there, so it must be assumed that individual pages of the affidavit had been removed or replaced (see our press release of 15 May 2024).

Although this inconsistency was already criticized during an oral hearing in the District Court on 25 August 2023, Der Spiegel commented on it only a week before the hearing on the appeal process, submitting two previously unknown documents. Affidavit. “Der Spiegel” had to admit that the initially submitted affidavit did not come from “Zoe” and “Sophie W.” From. According to Der Spiegel, there was confusion between the different versions when the affidavit was submitted due to negligence on the part of the court’s own legal representatives and its secretariat.

The different versions of “Zoe’s” affidavit differ significantly from each other, particularly with regard to her described memories of meetings with our client. Furthermore, Der Spiegel repeatedly defended its reporting during and during the proceedings, arguing that the affidavits had a high degree of credibility due to the penalties. In deposition and deposition cases, they must be sufficient to justify the suspicious activity report.

It is now clear that both affidavits were not actually filed as filed, and this is an issue that must be clarified by law enforcement authorities. Our client will therefore file a criminal complaint with the Hamburg prosecutor against those responsible for Der Spiegel for forging documents and attempting to commit procedural fraud.
