Stranger Things Season 5: Caleb McLaughlin’s Hilarious Take on the Long Wait

As fans continue to eagerly await season 5 of Stranger Things, one of the actors poked fun at the long wait by posting a funny snapshot on his X account.

The production of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things has faced its share of twists and turns between the Covid-19 crisis and the writers’ strike. “Writing doesn’t stop when filming begins. While we’re excited to start production with our incredible cast and crew, it’s not possible during this strike. We hope a fair agreement will be reached soon so we can all get back to work,” announced Matt and Ross Duffer. The protest movement, which lasted over a hundred days, delayed filming, and consequently the release of the series on Netflix.

Stranger Things season 5: Caleb McLaughlin’s (Lucas) ironic photo amuses fans

Season 5 of Stranger Things is not coming to Netflix anytime soon. As all the show’s devoted fans eagerly await its grand return, Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas Sinclair, mocked this long wait by posting a photo from the fourth installment where he can be seen alongside Maya Hawke and Sadie Sink, but with their features aged. “Sneak Peek of season 5”, he noted in the caption of this snapshot, which sparked hilarity among his followers. “No, this is actually what we will look like while watching season 5”, “So true haha”, “I love that it’s you sharing this”, “The funniest thing is that it’s so true”, can be seen among the comments.

Stranger Things season 5: this actress believes the long wait is worth it

As filming for season 5 continues, Maya Hawke, who plays Robin, assured that the wait is worth it, but that each episode is “very long”. “Season 4 and season 5 are very connected. Season 4 had a part 1 and a part 2 (…), so the last two episodes came out at a different time, which is unusual for streaming. But it’s a complete season, it’s a continuation, but it’s the final. And it’s been a long time since the last season,” she shared in an interview on the Podcrushed podcast. “Our showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer have a lot of responsibilities. They have an amazing team of writers, but they are involved. They write a lot and they are very intense and serious about the quality of the writing, and so it takes a lot of time to write each season, and a lot of time to shoot them.”
