Find out how to enter the United States without a visa in your passport 2024-08-01 02:39:59

Did you know that there is a document called a Border Crossing Card? It is precisely with this that you can enter the United States without the need for a visa stamped in your passport.

As is well known, the United States receives hundreds of thousands of people every year. Many travel for tourism, business or simply to visit their families. Mexicans are the leaders in this regard, followed by Canadians.

In order to facilitate border crossings between the two countries more quickly, the US immigration authorities developed the Border Crossing Card (BCC). This card has been in use since May 1998 only for Mexican citizens.

The BCC is also known as the DSP-150. In practical terms, it functions like a B1/B2 visitor visa. However, unlike a visa, it is issued in card form and boasts enhanced graphics and technology.

This visa allows you to stay in the country for just 72 hours, as well as having a restricted travel of 25 miles north in California and Texas. In New Mexico, you can travel 55 miles north of the border and 75 in Arizona.

People eligible to apply for a Border Crossing Card

-The applicant must be a Mexican citizen residing in Mexico.

-The applicant must demonstrate that he or she has no intention of remaining in the United States and that he or she will return to Mexico after his or her visit.

-The applicant must meet all eligibility requirements for B1/B2 visas. These include the following aspects:

-Have sufficient financial resources to cover your stay in the United States.

-Not having a criminal record or a letter from the authorities stating that you have no previous convictions.

The application process for a BCC is identical to that for a B1 business visa or a B2 tourist visa. You will also need to pay the BCC fee of $160.00 USD.
