Abuljadayel warned against circulating her photo with news about Aya Al-Sayed, questioning the existence of an Egyptian player with that name in the first place, participating in the Olympic Games, due to the conflict in the news between confirmation and denial.
The Egyptian Rowing Federation issued a statement confirming that there are no athletes with this name affiliated with it participating in the 2024 Summer Olympics, noting that it is participating with only 3 players (Abdul Khaleq Al-Banna, Ahmed Khaled, and Mohamed Qouta).
The Egyptian Federation called on everyone not to be led by false news and to obtain news from its official sources.
Kariman Abu Aljadayel is a Saudi runner who competed in the women’s 100-meter race at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She was the first woman from Saudi Arabia to compete in this event, before transforming from a runner to a champion in rowing.
