The Iron Curtain fell. The seal was hung there on Wednesday, July 31st. Can be read as “serious pimping”. Thaï Beauté, an Asian massage parlor located on the Toulouse route in Bordeaux, has been closed since Monday. Police from the Territorial Crime Branch’s (DCT) anti-pimp squad raided the premises that day.

The manager, a 56-year-old Chinese woman, and a 37-year-old Chinese employee were arrested and detained by police. They both allegedly admitted to prostitution in the parlor. The first, the employer of the second, was handed over to the Bordeaux prosecutor’s office on Wednesday. She was indicted for “aggravated pimping” and “money laundering.” She was summoned to the criminal court in January and placed under judicial supervision during the trial. In the meantime, administrative closure proceedings are underway.

“Royal massage”, “mutual benefit”…

This place is not new to the courts: two years ago, Asian massage parlors that had previously been installed in these places to shelter prostitution were closed and a judicial investigation opened.

SARL Thaï Beauté was founded last spring and operates in the same profession. Advertisements posted on the site quickly aroused investigators’ suspicions. For days, they carefully monitored the store, watching customers come and go – men only.

About ten of them were interviewed and confirmed that they had received “tidying up” massages. These sexual services are covered by ambiguous names such as “Royal Massage”, “Au Pair”, “Bodyboard” and so on, and cost about 150 euros. Nearly €9,000 was seized during this investigation.
