By changing your iPhone region, it is possible to get Apple Intelligence on your iPhone 15 Pro, or your iPad or Mac with System M chip.
That said, there are several steps you have to go through to get the Apple Intelligence interface, with Siri AI.
Beta Developer Program
Before you change regions, you’ll need to sign up for Apple’s Developer Beta program. Once you’ve done that, you can go to your iPhone’s Settings app and update it to iOS 18.1 – preferably on a test phone due to potential bugs.
On iOS 18.1, open the Settings app again and navigate to the “General” section. From there, scroll down until you see “Language & Region.” In this section, set your region to the United States. Once you’ve done that, you can go back to the main Settings page and choose the Apple Intelligence & Siri section. Make sure Siri’s language is set to US English, then click Join Waitlist, and you should be allowed in shortly after.
New Siri interface and Apple Intelligence tools
Once you’ve granted access, you’ll see the new Siri interface, Apple Intelligence writing tools, a new Memories tool in Photos, and more. This also includes AI summaries in Safari, call transcriptions, and a new focus mode for priority notifications. Long-awaited features like Genmoji and AI Image Playground are not part of this first beta.
