The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is monitoring an area of atmospheric disturbance in the tropical Atlantic.
This area, located near the Windward Islands and the Greater Antilles, has a 50% chance of intensifying during the next week.
According to the latest report According to the NHC, this disturbance is expected to interact with a tropical wave in the coming days.
This could create more favorable conditions for the development of a tropical system. Meteorological experts expect atmospheric conditions to become favorable for the formation of a tropical depression as the system approaches the Greater Antilles or the Bahamas.
At this time, the probability of a tropical depression forming in the next 48 hours is low, close to 0%. However, this probability increases significantly to 50% within seven days.
