The actor and comedian Miguel Vigil has passed away at the age of 68 due to a heart attack at his home in Ronda, Málaga. Born in Madrid, Vigil developed much of his artistic career in Andalusia, leaving a significant legacy in television and music.
The actor appeared in episodes of series such as ‘El Ministerio del Tiempo’, ‘Cuéntame cómo pasó’ or ‘La que se avecina’, while his last appearance was in the movie ‘Canallas’ in 2022.
In 1989, Vigil founded Académica Palanca along with Javier Batanero and Antonio Sánchez. One of the most recognized humorous themes among his followers was ‘Me llaman mala persona’. After touring half of Spain for two decades and starring in major successes, the group eventually dissolved in 2009 for reasons that never came to light.
“After realizing that he did not like studying or working,” his official website states, “he decided to become an artist. And, although he hesitated between being an actor, comedian, singer, guitarist, composer, and writer, he ultimately decided to ‘be a bit of everything’.
