On March 21, 2023, the Billa branch on Goethestrasse in Ried was closed after many years. A little less than a year and a half later, the store will soon be given a new lease of life. The large inscription “alim” has been on the building for a few days. “Alim” means “I’ll take it” in Turkish and will be the name of a new oriental supermarket that will open on Friday, September 6. The store is run by Ali Celep, an entrepreneur from Senftenbach. “In addition to oriental food, our range also includes a bread and meat department and a large fruit and vegetable department,” says Celep.
