Guyanese take to the streets to reject the result announced by the CNE

Starting at 7:00 p.m., a caravan left from the Monument Plaza, passed through La Churuata and ended a route to Avenida Atlántico, citizens with flags and chanting the phrase “freedom” protested so that the popular will be respected.

“I am defending my vote for Edmundo. I will be here until they give the presidency to Edmundo González. This government has already fallen,” said another of those present.

The same situation occurred in Alta Vista, Castillito and El Roble, San Félix, where protests were reported and citizens burned tires and destroyed political propaganda alluding to Nicolás Maduro.
