Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar said that the elections will be held on time on February 8, Pakistan is a transitional democracy, transitional democracies face internal challenges.
He said that I am not saying that we are living in an ideal democracy but yes there are some concerns but we will try as much as possible to give the people an opportunity to choose their future leadership.
Anwar-ul-Haq said that Imran Khan is not in jail because of his political views, but because of his alleged involvement in the May 9 riots and inciting his workers to arson. The Caretaker Prime Minister said that after the American withdrawal from Afghanistan, the American weapons were sold in the black market which fell into the hands of non-state actors, which will have implications not only in our region but also in the Middle East. These weapons are for money. All non-state elements will be sold.
He further said that there should be a comprehensive policy to deal with this problem, wherever these non-state actors are, they should be declared illegal and discouraged, all their activities, including economic, should be banned.
