Today, a large number of fans arrived at Lahore Gaddafi Stadium to watch the opening match between Lahore Qalandar and Islamabad United, in which most of the fans came to support Lahore Qalandar.
The rush on the streets before the PSL match was a bit heavy but there was not the vibrancy around Liberty Chowk and the lights around the stadium that have been seen in the past years.
Talking about security management, DIG Operations Ali Nasir Rizvi told Independent Urdu that around 9,000 police personnel are handling security matters.
While the old, young, children and women came to watch the match, Rabia and her husband Fayaz also reached the stadium on wheelchairs and crutches to enjoy the match with full enthusiasm.
Users on social media also made interesting comments regarding the match and the opening ceremony; ex-user Akhunzada Ashraf said: ‘This is Ali Zafar’s explosive comeback.’
“It was a great show that I really enjoyed,” said an X user named Ali.
An X-user criticized the PSL event and said, ‘The country is being destroyed. People are dying of hunger and poverty. I don’t know why you guys are wasting money on these unnecessary things.’

At the stadium, Rabia and Fayyaz also met Independent Urdu who are polio-affected but full of life.
Fayaz plays cricket for the disabled cricket team and has also won the recent Asia Cup.

Rabia is a fan of Lahore Qalandar and Fayyaz of Islamabad United, both of them said that their team will win the match.
Rabia and Fayyaz entered the main Gaddafi gates to enter the stadium, where police officers helped them inside.
Both husband and wife believe that there should be facilities for disabled people everywhere so that they too can enjoy everything and they hoped that they will be provided inside the stadium so that they too can sit there and enjoy their favorite games like normal people.
