Fatima Zahra El Mansouri mobilizes the ministry’s components to serve Moroccans living abroad and launches a national campaign under the slogan: “Construction and housing in the service of Moroccans around the world”
In implementation of the royal high instructions aimed at paying special attention to members of the Moroccan community residing abroad, responding to their aspirations and continuously improving the quality of services provided to them, as well as bringing the administration closer to citizens, and in accordance with the two circulars of Ms. Fatima Zahra El Mansouri, Minister of National Land Use Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and City Policy, addressed to the components of the ministry, the official launch of the 2024 national campaign to welcome Moroccans residing abroad was held, in line with this year’s “Marhaba” operation.
On this occasion, Ms. Fatima Zahra El Mansouri stated: “During this national campaign, all the components of the Ministry are mobilized to be at the service of Moroccans abroad, listening to their needs and providing them with technical and administrative assistance, with the aim of processing their files as quickly as possible and in the best conditions.” The Minister added: “We are also working to inform members of the community about the many advantages offered by the Royal Program for Direct Housing Support ‘Sakn Support’, in addition to the investment opportunities available, to strengthen their connection to their motherland.”
This national campaign, organized under the slogan: “Construction and Housing in the Service of Moroccans of the World,” is distinguished this year by the combined efforts of all components of the Ministry in order to make this operation a success, including the central, regional and provincial components of the Ministry, as well as the urban agencies and the Al Omrane Group.
This campaign includes a series of practical measures aimed at informing Moroccans living abroad of the latest developments in the construction and housing sector, as well as the programs and projects they can benefit from, such as the direct housing support program, the services provided by urban agencies, as well as the exceptional offers provided by Al Omrane Group. These measures also aim to provide all the necessary information and answer the various questions of Moroccans living abroad related to construction and housing.
In this context, the Ministry has taken several initiatives and measures to facilitate the reception and support of Moroccans living abroad, including organizing a mobile caravan that will tour 23 cities, providing special reception areas at border points, in strategic rest areas, as well as in the four stations of the high-speed train, organizing open days to receive members of the community at the headquarters of urban agencies and the headquarters of the Al Omrane Group, as well as organizing work after official working hours and on Saturdays to provide continuous assistance to members of the community.
The Ministry is also strengthening its efforts to ensure that Moroccans living abroad interact with the direct housing support program, which was launched by His Majesty, may God support and assist him, by accompanying them and providing all the explanations for purchasing a primary residence in Morocco, in accordance with the specified legal conditions.
As a reminder, Moroccans residing abroad constitute a significant percentage of those seeking direct housing support and beneficiaries of the housing support program, as they represent 21% of the applications registered through the digital platform and 23% of the beneficiaries so far.
These figures confirm the strategic importance of the programme in meeting the needs of this category of citizens and its positive impact on strengthening their relations with their homeland.
Ms. Fatima Zahra El Mansouri also stressed the need to organize round tables to study all possibilities of benefiting from the Ministry’s programs and to respond to the needs of Moroccans living abroad. This initiative is part of the continuation of the National Dialogue on Urban Planning and Housing launched by the Minister of National Territory Planning, Urban Planning, Housing and City Policy under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him.
