The producer and actress of “Survivor’s Remorse” and “Scary Movie 5”, Erica Ash, died this Monday at the age of 46.
The unfortunate death of Ash was announced by her publicist Elizabeth Much to The Hollywood Reporter, who said she passed away after a long battle with cancer.
“Erica was an incredible woman and a talented artist who touched countless lives with her sharp wit, humor, and genuine enthusiasm for life,” her family said in a statement, according to the entertainment outlet. “Her memory will live on forever in our hearts.”
Famous friends of the also actress from “Real Husbands of Hollywood” also confirmed her passing via Instagram, including actress and singer Tisha Campbell, and comedian and actress Loni Love.
“I am sad to confirm the death of my friend and fellow actress Erica Ashe… Erica was talented and hilarious, whether it was on the show ‘Survivor’s Remorse’ or ‘Madtv’, she poured everything into her work,” expressed comedian Loni Love.
“She would always be there… Now she is gone… My sincere condolences to her family and fans.”
For her part, Mrs. Campbell, who called Erica “talented, funny, brilliant, and you are flying with so many earned wings,” expressed on Instagram that she had to delete her previous post “because my heartaches are too many.”
“God, I will miss you. With all the ugliness this world brings and sometimes our industry, there are few among us who are the LIGHT and you are that for so many,” she said. “Oh God Erica, this is hard! I love you my little sister.”
Later, Loni Love, who was one of the co-hosts of the daytime talk show The Real, remembered the deep friendship between Ash and Campbell through videos of pranks between them.
“Erica Ash and Tisha Campbell were very close and good friends… this is what happened when we made a prank call on The Real… love to Erica’s family… she was the best and will be missed,” added Love on X, showing two videos that revealed the sweet and unconditional friendship that existed between them.
Mrs. Ash, originally from Florida, participated from 2013-2016 in 19 episodes playing Bridgette Hart on the series “Real Husbands of Hollywood”, and from 2014-2017 she was in the TV series “Survivor’s Remorse” playing M-Chuck in 36 episodes.
She also participated in the series “In Contempt” in 2018 for 10 episodes playing Gwen Sullivan.
