Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahiyan had a telephone conversation with caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani in which they discussed Iran’s attack in Pakistan. After Iran’s violation of Pakistan’s airspace, there has been tension in the diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Iran.
Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani said that the Iranian attack is an attack on Pakistan’s integrity and a violation of international laws, as well as against the spirit of bilateral relations between the two countries.
He said that this move of Iran has dealt a deep blow to the bilateral relations and Pakistan reserves the right to respond in response to the Iranian attack.
He said that terrorism is a common problem of Pakistan and Iran against which we have to fight together.
The Iranian Foreign Minister said that he respects Pakistan’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Pakistan’s ambassador to Iran Mudassar Tipu will leave Tehran tonight and reach Islamabad.
After the airspace violation by Iran, Pakistan had decided to recall its ambassador and instructed the Iranian ambassador not to return to Pakistan.
It should be remembered that 2 innocent children were killed and 3 girls were injured as a result of the attack by Iran violating Pakistan’s airspace yesterday.
Pakistan had strongly condemned the unprovoked violation of its airspace and the attack on Pakistani territory and said that the violation of sovereignty was totally unacceptable and could have dire consequences.
The Foreign Office had also summoned the Iranian Affairs Minister to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the violation of Pakistan’s airspace by Iran. Later, Pakistan also announced to recall the ambassador from Iran.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch had said that Pakistan has also decided to suspend all high-level exchanges with Iran.
