Carter Center asks the CNE for detailed results of the presidential elections

The Carter Center on Monday urged the National Electoral Council (CNE) to publish in detail the results of the presidential elections, a common request in recent hours from the international community.

On Sunday, the organization had a mission of observers to follow the development of the elections in the country and which, according to the CNE, gave victory at the polls to Nicolás Maduro.

“The Carter Center calls on the Venezuelan National Electoral Commission to immediately publish the results of the presidential elections at the polling station level”reza the notice of the group.

The alliance recalled that They were invited by the CNE to follow the elections; however, he clarified that “The mission’s assessment is based on the Venezuelan legal framework, as well as regional and international standards for democratic elections”.

“The information contained in the results forms at the polling station level, as they are transmitted to the CNE, is fundamental for our evaluation and important for all Venezuelans”the organization recalled.

At the time of publication of this note, The CNE did not publish on its website the figures that resulted from the elections in the country.
