Representatives of the Venezuelan artistic community exercised their right to vote on Sunday, when the 2024 presidential elections were held, in which Nicolás Maduro emerged victorious, according to the first bulletin released during the early hours of Monday by Elvis Amoroso, president of the National Electoral Council (CNE).

Renowned journalist, television host and radio announcer Shirley Varnagy voted and used Instagram to announce that after fulfilling her constitutional duty she would tour Caracas, Capital District.

“Venezuela has fulfilled your promise. I am touring Caracas from east to west to show you how the electoral process is developing in the capital,” he wrote on the social network.

More familiar faces

For her part, actress Daniela Alvarado showed a photograph in which she showed her right thumb, to report that she had cast her ballot for the candidate of her preference (which she did not reveal), because she felt comfortable after participating in an important event.

“Early! At 6:15 am I was already in line to vote with my mother @carmenjuliaalvarez (Carmen Julia Álvarez’s account)! I recorded a story but my phone is so full that it wasn’t published… Since the first time I was able to exercise my right and duty to vote, the process has caused me a lot of emotion, I don’t know why, it makes me feel good,” she said.

Adriana Peña, host of the Televén program La Bomba, also went to her polling station and expressed her joy at being able to vote.

“Ready, I’ve done my part 🇻🇪❤️ I’ve already voted, what about you? Don’t let others decide for you. Venezuela needs us!” said the influencer and social communicator.

Another beauty

Actress Erika Schwarzgruber also revealed that she took part in the elections because she wanted to have her say on the election day.

“Done! I did my duty and my right. I did my duty for my children. I did my duty for my country,” said Schwarzgruber, who like the rest of the media workers refrained from publishing digital content after the CNE announced the results.
