Made in Venezuela brand fair held in Plaza Bolívar in Caracas

This Tuesday, Bolívar Square in the city of Caracas became a meeting space to celebrate the national identity of Made in Venezuela, where attendees were able to learn about Venezuelan nationally produced brands and products with an export quality seal.

During the event, diplomatic representatives, invited as international observers in the presidential electoral process next Sunday, July 28, were able to learn about products that have Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) certifications, and others with Denominations of Origin (DO), distinctive signs that identify an item as originating from a territory or with particular characteristics attributable fundamentally to its geographical origin, the Ministry of National Commerce on their web portal.

On the day that extends this Wednesday in Plaza Bolívar and on Friday, July 26, in the facilities of the “Parque Simón Bolívar” Convention Center, in La Carlota, you can find products such as: Cacao Caripito, Cacao Carenero, Cacao Patanemo, Honey Kavitepuy, Ají Margariteño, Aguacate de Yaracuy and Cocuy de Penca.

On July 12, the MADE IN VENEZUELA Brand Expo was held, in which products with quality emblems of our land were exhibited, highlighting the richness and diversity of national production, which guarantee unique quality standards.

The MADE IN VENEZUELA Brand Expo is a testimony to the collective effort of Venezuelans to overcome obstacles and build a future open to prosperity and hope.

The Venezuela Country Brand Institute together with the Ministry of Popular Power of National Commerce are advancing in the formation of technical tables with various organizations of the Venezuelan State to develop a plan to support producers with Protected Geographical Indications (PGI) and Denominations of Origin (DO) , in order to promote the Made in Venezuela campaign, which aims to encourage users to consume native products, and publicize their unique quality characteristics.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela articulates all its efforts with the public and private productive sectors to multiply national production and promote the birth of new brands with export quality.

So far in 2024, more than 2.920 brands have been registered in intellectual property matters, marketed in the national territory; More than 20 patents have been granted and more than 120 Copyrights have been granted.
