Franca Overtoom’s first appointment at the Olympic Games

FIFA has appointed Franca Overtoom as assistant referee for the Brazil v Japan (w) group match at the Olympic Games in Paris. The match will be played on Sunday 28 July at the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris and will start at 17:00.

For Overtoom it is her first appointment at the Olympic Games. The match will be led by referee Rebecca Welch from England. Emily Carney, also from England, is the other assistant referee. Tess Olofsson from Sweden is the fourth official.

Dieperink AVAR at New Zealand – Colombia

Rob Dieperink has been appointed by FIFA as AVAR for New Zealand – Colombia (w) on Sunday 28 July. The match will be played at the Stade de Lyon in Lyon and will start at 17:00. Dieperink will assist VAR Khamis Al Marri from Qatar. The referee for this match will be Kim Yu-jeong from South Korea. For Dieperink, this is his fourth Olympic appointment. Earlier in the tournament, he was VAR for Argentina – Iraq (m) and Guinea – New Zealand (m), and AVAR for Canada – New Zealand (w)
