Cardi B Responds to Ice Spice on Shade’s ‘Y2K!’

Cardi B it seems to have echoed Ice spice after apparently throwing shade at her over her new album Y2K!

The song “BB Belt” leaked on Thursday (July 25) ahead of the project’s midnight premiere, leading many — including Cardi herself — to conclude that Spice was taking aim at the “Bodak Yellow” star.

In the song, Ice Spice raps: “I think she’s pretty but she change her face / Lagging behind like, ‘Bitch, speed up’ / It was fun ’til I took her place / Her man calls but I’m like, ‘Who is she?’

Shortly after the song leaked online, Cardi took to social media to lash out at her anonymous rivals.

She wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “These female dogs have completely lost their minds… But I get all my licks on my album… ON EVERY ONE OF YOU female dogs!!!”

Cardi added, “These b*tches don’t see me in numbers or status, y’all had TOO much time to catch up. They don’t see me in money, they don’t see me in real estate, fashion and they DON’T SEE ME IN PERSON.

“I’m not in the rat race with any of you female dogs!! And I’ll show you.”

Ice Spice has not yet specified whether the line is aimed at Cardi.

Problems between Bronx residents had been brewing for about a year, Cardi B seemingly snubbed Ice Spice during her performance at Hot 97 Summer Jam last July.

During her performance, Bardi moved on to “Morning 2” playing in Ania song “Tomorrow” and projecting images of orphan Annie twerking on a large screen behind her.

Many fans couldn’t help but notice the striking resemblance between the red-headed, curly-haired character and Ice Spice and felt that Cardi was insulting her younger colleague.

“I don’t — that’s not me, come on. First of all, y’all wanted me to be a mess. You all wanted me to be a mess in the song, you all wanted me to — no, come on.”

She added: “Please stop talking crap. Get a mop. You’re too messy and annoying.”
