A company from Achaia, Pavlos Pettas ABEE, is included in the list of the 500 most profitable companies in Greece, published yesterday by ICAP CRIF, based on balance sheets for the year 2022.
The criterion based on which the companies are ranked is the EBITDA profits, i.e. the company’s profits without taking into account taxes, interest due to loans, and depreciation.
These figures are important, because on the one hand they concern the period when the inflationary cycle opened, with the energy crisis raging and the prices of primary and secondary materials making jumps. On the other hand, they are also the first to be published collectively, since the barrage of extensions to the deadlines for the publication of the 2022 balance sheet has enabled many companies, even today, not to have published their financial statements.
So according to these data published by pelop.grPavlos Pettas ABEE is in 12th place in the Food sector based on EBITDA profits, which reached 25 million euros in 2022, from 8.4 million euros in 2021. That is, the company shot up its gross profits by 195 .7% within a year.
If we calculate the company’s pre-tax profits, they amounted in 2022 to almost 19 million euros, from 3.8 million euros in 2021, presenting… an astronomical increase of 395.5%, the fourth largest in the food industry nationwide after sugar giant Mondelez (+3,857%), the Hellenic Juice Industry K. Dedes ASPIS SA (1,167.2%) and the oil importer and distributor KORE SA (423.6%). The company’s turnover increased from 202.6 million euros to 274.5 million euros.
