Russia, Ukraine accused of links with Moscow car bomb attacker –

Evgeniy Serebryakov, the suspected perpetrator of Wednesday’s car bombing in Moscow, said in an interrogation that last year he decided to cooperate with Ukrainian special services, contacted them via the Internet and offered to kill a Defense Ministry official, according to a video released by the Russian intelligence service FSB and published by leading Russian agencies. Serebryakov is charged with attempted murder, criminal conspiracy and illegal trafficking in explosives. On the morning of July 24, a car explosion occurred in the courtyard of one of the houses on Sinyavinskaya Street in Moscow, injuring two people. An informed source told Interfax that the owner of the car is a colonel in the Russian Armed Forces: an explosive device with a capacity of about 500 grams of TNT was placed under the driver’s seat.
