CNE asserts that the only requirement to vote is the identity card

The National Electoral Council (CNE), in accordance with the Organic Law of Electoral Processes (LOPRE), members of the Electoral Board will only request the identity card from voters so that they can exercise their right to vote, even if the identity card has expired.

Through the social network X, the entity communicated that the president of the Electoral Power, Elvis Amoroso, together with the rectors, urge the Venezuelan population not to believe in the disinformation campaign regarding the requirements to vote.

The Organic Law of Electoral Processes, in its article 121, indicates that the Electoral Tables will operate from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm of the same day, and will remain open as long as there are voters waiting to vote.
