It seems that – even though we are approaching the end of the Milák saga – there are still “interesting” facts about our Olympic, world and European champion swimmer. It has now been revealed that national team captain Csaba Sós and Kristóf Milák already discussed at the European Championships that the latter will only compete in individual numbers at the Paris Olympics, they cannot count on him in the men’s 4×100 meter relay.

Accordingly, the relay team Nándor Németh, Hubert Kós, Szebasztián Szabó, Ádám Jászó will jump into the pool. “I think this relay team is very strong even without him and has a realistic chance of reaching the final,” added the national team captain.
The captain doesn’t know – or doesn’t want to reveal – when Milák will arrive in Paris, but according to him there is no problem, since he can prepare more calmly at home. At the same time, he stated that this is currently the most innocent news about the swimmer. However, he has plenty of complaints about the travel, the service, and the location of the pool tournaments.
The water level in the pool is low, the waves are bigger, and there are fewer world peaks
– Our experiences are mixed, since our transport from the Olympic village, for example, is disastrous, it takes between thirty-five minutes and an hour and a half, there was a driver who got lost and went back to the village. According to the competitors, the food is quite lousy, and it often happens that it runs out, the captain claimed.
At the location of the pool competitions, in the La Défense Arena, which can accommodate thirty thousand spectators, the water depth of the pool is only two meters instead of the usual three meters at world events, so according to the rules of physics, the competitions are expected to be slower, since the waves are reflected much more. According to Csaba Sós, there will be far fewer world records due to this.
The warming pool, on the other hand, is huge
– Of course, the most important thing for us is that there is water in the pool, the depth will be the same for everyone, and the warming pool is the largest I have ever seen. The auditorium is huge, I am sure that the audience will see competitions with a great atmosphere, said the expert.
The preliminaries of the swimming competitions start at 11 a.m. each day at the Paris La Défense Arena, while the semi-finals and finals are held from 8:30 p.m.
