Evenepoel completed the 32.4km course between the Invalides and the Pont Alexandre III in 36:12:16. He beat Ganna in 14.92 and Van Aert in 25.63. British rider Josh Tarling suffered a puncture at the start of the race and finished fourth in 27.79. American Brandon McNulty rounded out the top 5 in 1:04.44.
Evernpool took control from the first intermissionAfter 13.4 km, they arrived at the Château de Vincennes. Ganna was next in line with 7.41, ahead of Van Aert (+9.95), Australian Luke Prapp (+11.54) and American Magnus Sheffield (+11.54). Tallinn, who had to change bikes after a puncture at the start of the race, was sixth with 13.62.
After 22.3 km, at the second bend before the Château de Vincennes, Evernepoel still held the lead. Van Aert climbed to second place with a time of 11.84, ahead of Ganna (+16.53), Tallinn (+17.94) and McNulty (+38.93). Meanwhile, Prapp had given up.
Evenpool held the lead until the end. Ganna replaced Van Aert for second place, with Tarling and McNulty holding their positions.
