Persis Solo coach Milomir Seslija said his team will focus on recovering before facing the 2024 President’s Cup semifinals.

Milomir explained that the fight in the group phase was quite tiring and in the semifinals Persis Solo will meet Group B champion Arema FC.

“After this, we will take a break and then prepare ourselves better. We will wait for our opponent in the semi-finals and we will see what happens,” explained Milomir.

Persis Solo successfully secured a ticket to the 2024 President’s Cup semifinals after becoming runner-up in Group A by collecting a total of four points from three matches.

Surprisingly, Persis Solo was able to secure full points in the last match against Persib Bandung by beating the home team with a narrow score of 1-0.

Regarding Laskar Sambernyawa’s success in stealing a victory over Persib Bandung, the Bosnian-Herzegovinian coach considered this to be an extraordinary momentum for Persis Solo.

“The key in this match was the attitude that gave rise to the players’ confidence and we also recorded a clean sheet. There was a little problem in the first half but then we were able to resolve it,” Milomir stressed.

“We actually have many opportunities compared to Persib. This is only 65 percent of our team because there are many new players coming. What is certain is that the success of reaching the semi-finals is for Persis supporters,” he concluded.

Next, Persis Solo is scheduled to play the 2024 President’s Cup semifinal match against Arema FC at Manahan Stadium, Solo, Wednesday (31/7). (Ant/P-5)
