The South Korean vice minister was present at the presentation and asked to speak, in addition to what the ministry said about its request for the Foreign Ministry to convey to France a serious complaint at the government level.

For its part, the South Korean National Olympic Committee asked the French organizers not to make such mistakes in the future.

In turn, the International Olympic Committee issued an apology on its official account on the “X” platform in the Korean language, saying: “We would like to offer a deep apology for the mistake that occurred in the introduction of the South Korean delegation during the opening ceremony,” while the International Olympic Committee has not yet published an apology on its social media account in the English language.
