How to activate a secret code in WhatsApp chats?

Activate a secret code on WhatsApp It’s very simple. To do this, you will have to follow the following steps:

• Enter WhatsApp.
• Long press on the chat you want to set a secret code for.
• Click on the three dots at the top right of the screen. Choose the “Lock chat” option. A box will appear that says “Keep this chat locked and hidden.” Press “Continue.”
• You will need to confirm that it is you to proceed. To do so, you will be asked for the biometric features you use to block WhatsApp.

Once your identity is confirmed, the chat will be locked. You will see a folder at the top of your chats that says “Chats blocked”, To enter it, it will be necessary confirm that it is you with the biometric data.

Now, to add the code, you will need to follow these steps.

• Go to the “Blocked Chats” folder.
• Tap the three dots in the top right corner of the screen. Click on “Chat Lock Settings.” Two options will appear, choose the one that says “Secret Code.”
• You will need to add a password, you can choose a word or even an emoji. Click “Next.” You will need to confirm the password twice.
• Also, turn on the “Hide blocked chats” feature. It will ask you to activate your secret code. Once these steps are complete, blocked chats will not appear in general chats.

To find them, you will have to click on the search icon and enter the password you chose for these chats.

What happens if I forget my WhatsApp secret code?

If you forgot your secret code, you will have to follow these steps:

• Go to WhatsApp and click on the three dots in the upper right corner.
• Go to “Settings” and then “Privacy.”
• Under the “Chat Block” option, select “Unblock and clear blocked chats.”
• This will return the conversation to the chat list.
